Konstantinos Papaioannou

Konstantinos Papaioannou (born Athens, Greece) is a visual artist and poet who creates large-scale, engaging works that explore the nature of the psyche through ideas of immortality, duality and timelessness.

Konstantinos holds a BA in German Studies with First Class Honors from the Faculty of Philosophy of the National University of Athens. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Management (Deutsche Akademie fuer Management, Berlin) as well as certificates in Art Writing and Criticism, Exhibition Design, Social Networking for Gallerists, Curatorial Practices (Node Center for Curatorial Studies, Berlin), Cultural Management and museology (Hellenic American Union, Department of Culture, Athens) and Art and Finance in the Global Market (Sotheby’s Institute of Art).

He speaks Greek, German, Spanish, English, Turkish and Serbo-Croatian.

From 2014 to 2018, Konstantinos worked as a gallery assistant at Haute Collage Fine Art Gallery in Queensway, London. There he began exhibiting and selling his own artwork and developed his signature style – an intricate, hand-drawn, decorative pattern appearing in each of his paintings.

He participated in group exhibitions in Athens (Art Number 23 – October 2021, Greek-French Association – October 2022).
His first solo exhibition at Vassiliki Galerie d’Art (Nafplion, July 2023) is his real breakthrough in the world of art.
His second solo exhibition was held at St Nicholas Business Club & AHEPA Maritime Chapter HJ-45, in January 2024, Piraeus, Greece.
In October 2024, he will participate in a group exhibition of opera diva Maria Callas memorabilia and works inspired by her at the Kakogiannis Foundation, Athens, Greece.
