Konstantinos Papaioannou is a visual artist and poet who creates captivating works with themes of Greek mythology, exploring the nature of the psyche through concepts of immortality, duality, and timelessness. Throughout his artistic practice, he has developed his own distinctive style—a complex, hand-drawn, decorative pattern that appears in every one of his paintings.
A fiery red abstracted figure is staring at a round object resembling a planet or the sun that symbolises the divine. The two share the exact same colour – evidence that they have the same nature. The figure is holding a small paper boat that refers to the journey of the soul until it reunites with its source; the divine. Everything is penetrated, surrounded, and interconnected by an intricate pattern symbolising the cosmic soul that is eternal and endless.
