In her work “The Journey,” Anna Hausová touches on the very essence of being, the moment of birth, when two forces, two entities, collide in an explosive event. This visual collision is reminiscent of the Big Bang. The myth and scientific origin of everything. In the depths of the composition, we perceive tension, movement, action, and reaction. A scene that gives rise not only to the universe, but also to the “Journey” itself.
However, “Journey,” as understood by the author, is not just a cosmic event. It is a human journey—the journey of an individual. Unclear, changeable, unpredictable. Full of flashes of light and dark sections, perceptions, decisions, emotions, and twists and turns. Hausová combines the cosmic and the inner into a single continuum. Just as the universe did not come into being without conflict, neither does man grow without external and internal clashes.
This visual work touches on an archetypal theme: where we come from, where we are going, and what shapes us on this journey. The abstract language of painting leaves room for interpretation, but at the same time carries a deep philosophy of birth and movement.
