Andrea Ribovičová lives and works in Bardejovské Kúpele, where she has her own painting and ceramics studio. She has been devoted to painting her entire life, though her practice has intensified in recent years. Over time, her work has evolved from realistic, primarily figurative paintings to abstraction. This journey has been full of exploration, experimentation, and discovery. She found her true voice in abstract painting, which provides her with freedom and allows her to express emotions, thoughts, and inner visions on canvas. The colors and shapes in her works reflect her individuality and inner world—often imaginative and dreamlike.
Another great passion of Andrea’s is working with clay. Ceramics not only fulfills her but also adds another dimension to her creative world. She alternates between painting and ceramics—sometimes her hands are stained with paint, other times with clay. Both practices inspire her, provide new ideas, and offer space for creative release, which she embraces joyfully.
In addition, Andrea teaches workshops and courses focused on functional and decorative ceramics. She works with both children and adults and continually develops her skills, in painting and ceramics alike. She enjoys participating in art plein-airs and is a proud member of the Bardejov Artists Club BARDAV. She regularly exhibits in solo and group exhibitions in Slovakia and Poland.
For Andrea, the ability to create continuously is the greatest expression of freedom—the freedom to be herself.
