The face created by red spots represents the first god of the ancient Greek religion of Orphism – Eros.
Eros was the energy responsible for all kinds of attraction. The green abstract figure symbolizes the physicality of Eros, while the broken statue represents raw sexuality and the general material/physical aspect of Eros. The moon symbolizes his dark, mysterious nature. Despite all this, Eros turns his head and gaze towards the golden apple in the upper left corner of the composition. In ancient Greece, the golden apple was a symbol of transcending human limits, a symbol of unity with the Divine, which in fact meant cosmic fulfillment of the soul. It is precisely this fulfillment and completion that Eros is actually seeking.
