The night city scene called Flood is an acrylic painting by Košice artist Ružena Velesová, which depicts a poetic moment of the nocturnal city. The sculpture in the foreground, illuminated by the soft light of a street lamp, creates a strong contrast with the dark and mysterious background.

The quick and short strokes of the brush depicting the reflections in the water create a trembling impression and thus an impressionistic style. The colors are carefully chosen to evoke the calmness and at the same time the mystery and poeticism of the night scene.
