“Banská Bystrica II” is a lyrical and intimate interpretation of the city of Banská Bystrica. Bodnár uses oil paints to create a layered, mood-evoking depiction of the architecture, landscape, and atmosphere of this place.

The composition emphasizes the play of light and shadow. The bright peaks of the buildings emerge from a softly blurred background, creating a sense of calm and depth. The color palette, combining warm earthy tones with cool airy hues, evokes the feeling of morning mist or the evening tint of the horizon. The dynamics of the brushstrokes express an awareness of movement—the city as a living, organic organism.
