Michal Sabo Balog

Michal Sabo Balog is a Slovak painter. He lives and works in the village of Záhor in the Zemplín region. He primarily works in oil, focusing on floral still lifes and natural motifs. Painting has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. Even in childhood, his favorite “toys” were paper and crayons, a fact reflected in his refined handling of subject matter.

He has held numerous exhibitions throughout the Zemplín region, as well as several exhibitions in Košice and Prešov. He has also participated in regional art competitions in Michalovce, where he received several top awards.

In 2012, he was awarded the Plaque of the Chairman of the Košice Self-Governing Region for his contribution to culture in the field of painting.
