At the heart of Artemi Gallery is Ema, its founder and gallery director, with over a decade of experience in contemporary art and the art market. Throughout her career in London and Prague, she has worked with Christie’s, London Contemporary Art, STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN and KODL Gallery, gaining experience in gallery management, curatorial and exhibition projects, art and collectible design sales, and building relationships with international clients. She also teaches design and marketing at university level, bringing together her practical experience and academic interests.
Her connection to art began in childhood, nurtured in part by her uncle, a versatile artist who fostered her interest in artistic expression and culture. Artemi Gallery is a natural extension of this personal passion and professional experience. It provides a platform for both emerging and established artists, connecting their work with collectors seeking contemporary art distinguished by individuality, a compelling story and lasting artistic value.
